Dr. Maximilian Küffer is a specialist in orthodontics and an internationally recognized expert in digital orthodontics, with a particular focus on CAD/CAM appliance design and the clinical application of skeletal anchorage systems. He is currently a senior consultant orthodontist at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where he is actively involved in clinical care, academic research, and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. 

Previously, Dr. Küffer served as a senior consultant at the Department of Orofacial Orthopedics and Orthodontics at the University Hospital Düsseldorf, Germany, where he also led the Section for Craniofacial Anomalies. In Düsseldorf, his responsibilities likewise encompassed specialized clinical treatment, teaching, and advanced specialist training. 

He received his dental degree and doctoral degree in dental materials science from the University of Tübingen, followed by orthodontic training in a private specialist practice and at the University of Düsseldorf. His scientific and clinical work focuses on the development and clinical integration of innovative digital workflows in orthodontics, particularly TAD-supported and CAD/CAM-based appliances. 

Dr. Küffer is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and has led numerous hands-on training courses worldwide.
