The College of Dental Medicine at the University of Sharjah and the Clinical and Surgical Training Center (CSTC) held the official launch of the Clinical Certificate in Dental Implantology on Sunday, 20 September 2026 at the CSTC. Prof. Esam Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, attended the ceremony and expressed his support for the industry-academic collaboration behind the programme, which brought together the first group of candidates, faculty, partners and sponsors and concluded with lunch at the centre.

The one-year programme is organised and awarded by the University of Sharjah College of Dental Medicine, with CAPP Events & Training as marketing and co-organising partner, and is accredited by the National Institute for Health Specialities (NIHS), fulfilling the requirements for implant dentistry privileges in the United Arab Emirates. Each participant places and restores a minimum of 30 implants across multiple implant systems, with patients provided, and enrolment is capped at 24 places.

Teaching for the first group began on 11 September 2026, combining academic study with supervised clinical training in surgical foundations, digital workflows, guided implant surgery and full rehabilitation protocols. Prof. Zahi Badran, Prof. Kamis Gaballah and Dr. Ibrahim Bayram led the development of the programme, supported by the leadership, faculty, nursing and administrative teams of the College of Dental Medicine and the CSTC.
