Abstract

One of the biggest challenges for a dental technician has been the reproduction of life-like restorations that mimic natural teeth. A combination of critical  parameters such as  precise shade selection, colour theory, opalescence, fluorescence, natural tooth colours, shape and texture, provides the keys to reproducing  aesthetic restorations.
Monolithic restorations are becoming very popular in our modern digital world so the replication of natural aesthetics presents a greater challenge today.
