Dr. Rene Franzen, Ph.D. (Medical Science), Physicist is an internationally recognized scientist, educator, and researcher specializing in laser applications in medicine and dentistry. He currently serves as Scientific Course Director of the Master's Program in Lasers in Dentistry at Sigmund Freud Private University, Vienna, and is an Adjunct Professor at MISR International University, Cairo.

With more than 105 scientific publications, 46 conference presentations, and a Hirsch Index (h-index) of 27, Dr. Franzen has made significant contributions to laser dentistry, medical physics, and educational innovation. He has held key positions at RWTH Aachen University Hospital, the Aachen Dental Laser Center (AALZ), and Düsseldorf University, where he has led research, postgraduate education, curriculum development, and digital learning initiatives.

Dr. Franzen is a member of several international scientific societies and serves on editorial and advisory boards, including the German Society for Laser Dentistry. His work focuses on integrating advanced technologies with healthcare to improve patient outcomes and professional education.
