Dr. Frank LaMar is founder and director of the Elmwood Dental Group and the Elmwood Dental Implant and Oral Reconstruction Center in Rochester, New York, where he maintains a private practice consisting of approximately 10 dentists to include two implantologists and two prosthodontists. He manages a staff of about 35 full and part-time professionals including administrative support and a full hygiene department.
Dr. LaMar is a Fellow and Board of Trustees Member of the A.A.I.D. and a Diplomate of the A.B.O.I. He was nominated and inducted as a Diplomate of the American College of Dentists in 1998 and nominated as a Diplomate of the International College of Dentists in 1999. He currently serves on the AAID Global Committee as Chairman of the Pacific Rim and is Vice-President of the AAID’s Northeast District and has served on its Board of Trustees for four (4) years. He was Chairman of the 1998 Northeast District Annual Meeting in Cooperstown, NY and acted as Chairman of Corporate Sponsorship for the 1999 Northeast District Meeting in Mystic, Connecticut.
Dr. LaMar is the Director of the Elmwood Dental Implant Study Club, is an active member of the Seventh District Dental Society and of the Monroe County and Apollonian Dental Study Groups. He actively participates in many local charities. Dr. LaMar is Corporate Sponsorship Chairman for the Rochester Italian Charities and is its past president. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of several private foundations.
Dr. LaMar currently holds the position of Associate Clinical Professor of Implant Dentistry, Department of Periodontology, Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester and is a frequent national/international speaker.
Dr. LaMar is currently the 2007 President of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
