Preliminary evaluation of factors that influence the durability of CAD/CAM restorations
Abstract
Aim: This study examines variables that determine the quality and fitness of teeth restorations produced digitally through scanning and milling.
Methods: The crowns production will be divided into 4 groups as per the experiment protocol. The prepared teeth will receive crowns, produced from the same virtual model but with different parameters applied during the milling procedure.
Results: The descriptive data revealed all outcomes within a clinically acceptable range.
Conclusion: The intraoral scanner used alongside a new milling bur kit reveals a better marginal fit than the in-lab extraoral scanner or a sample of a used bur kit
