The safe minimal and moderate sedation for your patients
Abstract
Pediatric dentists use behavior management techniques with all their patients, many of whom require difficult and potentially painful treatments. Due to severe pathology and past negative experiences associated with dental fear and anxiety, minimal and moderate sedation can be beneficial in easing anxiety, regaining trust, and performing higher quality treatments. However, not all pediatric dentists have received the necessary training to perform safe sedations. This session aims to empower pediatric dentists with knowledge on safe minimal and moderate sedation for the benefit of their patients and themselves.
