Featuring Prof. Hugo Grancho Pinto and moderated by Dr. Maurizio Martini, Italy, the session delivered an evidence-based overview of one of the most prevalent inflammatory conditions affecting the periodontium and emphasized its reversibility when diagnosed and managed early.

The session also reviewed current diagnostic criteria and clinical indicators to support early detection and accurate assessment in everyday practice, while reinforcing the importance of combining clinical care with patient-centered prevention strategies.
