CAPP has delivered its first hands-on course in Lebanon, marking the clinical launch of CAPP Lebanon, the national continuing education platform recently established in the country. The inaugural programme, "Mastering Veneers: From Design to Cementation", took place over two days in Hazmieh on 3 and 4 July 2026, bringing international teaching standards to the Lebanese dental community.
Led by Prof. Karim Corbani and Prof. Hani Tohme, the course explored the integration of digital technologies in veneer dentistry, combining structured lectures with supervised practical application. Participants worked through digital smile design, mock-up strategies, and digitally guided tooth preparation, alongside intraoral scanning, bite registration, and advanced shade selection. Guided exercises across both analog and digital stations allowed clinicians to develop skills in virtual patient creation, CAD design, and veneer manufacturing workflows, from initial diagnosis through to final cementation.
The choice of a comprehensive restorative topic for the platform's first course reflects the ambitions set out at the launch of CAPP Lebanon, which was announced in May 2026 as a long-term educational platform rather than a series of isolated events. Building on CAPP's international educational expertise together with strong local clinical networks, the platform aims to elevate clinical standards and support lifelong learning across Lebanon. Further hands-on courses, webinars, and certification programmes are planned.
