Dr Kwang Bum Park graduated from Kyung Pook National University, School of Dentistry of Korea in 1985. He finished training in periodontics in 1988. After army service for three years, he returned to dental school to teach and research. About three years later he has dismissed the dental school and opened a private practice in 1993. At the same time, he started a private institute named ‘Perio-Line’to teaching private practitioners about clinical periodontics and implant dentistry. In 2000 he went to UCLA, department of periodontics, to study further as a visiting researcher. After returning from the United States, he and his colleagues started a dental hospital network called ‘MIR Dental Network’. It has 18 branches of big dental hospitals throughout Korea. He also established an Implant manufacturing company named ‘MegaGen’ in 2002. At present, he is serving as the president of MIR Dental Hospital, Daegu, and CEO of MegaGen Company.

Also, he is working as the director of the MINEC education centre. He is an international member of AAP, an active member of AO and an honoured doctor of the Japanese society of gnathology and occlusion.
