Doctor Dimitrios Mavreas is currently a Clinical Professor at Vrije University in Brussels, Belgium, and maintains a private practice in Athens, Greece. He is also affiliated to the Hellenic Craniofacial Center, Athens, Greece, treating craniofacial anomaly and cleft patients. He completed his orthodontic training at the Department of Orthodontics, Aarhus, Royal Dental College, Denmark, (Master of Science Degree), and also had postgraduate training in Occlusion and TMJ Management at the Department of Occlusion, Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Washington DC, USA. In addition he holds a PhD degree from the University of Athens, School of Dentistry, Greece. He has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics in Aarhus, Denmark. He has published numerous articles in various orthodontic journals. He has been lecturing extensively on the Damon system and various other topics.
