Restorative Pediatric Dentistry and Space Maintenance A-Z

Abstract

The continuum of pediatric dental restorative options is dynamic and should be tailored to meet each child’s unique needs. This course will move swiftly through all options including composite resin restorations, stainless steel crowns, zirconia crowns, resin faced crowns, and ultimately high strength resin polymer posterior crowns. Attendees will understand common mistakes and learn keys to efficient placement with predictable clinical outcomes.

When teeth cannot be saved it is imperative to place space maintenance to ensure space is available for the erupting permanent teeth. This course will review all space maintainers with emphasis on chairside fixed unilateral space maintainers.

Attendees will build a knowledge and technique foundation that will set up success in their restorative and space maintainer practice. A review of cases will solidify the principles of treatment planning and management of the complex needs of patients.
