Clinical Implantology


The course will comprise of live surgical patient treatment hands-on training, lectures and seminars. This is a 7 months course over 12 days leading to a postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Implantology from the British Academy of Dental Implantology (BADI) and the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry (BARD). Successful completion of the 7-months course will allow entrance to the examination for the Certificate in Clinical Implantology. This will include MCQ examination and case studies. If you attend all 3 modules of the Certificate course, you will attain est. 84 CME.

Module 1   |   Basics of Implantology
Group 1: 31 Jan–03 Feb 2018 (4 days)   |   Group 2: 17–20 October 2018 (4 days)

Programme outline: implant market, osseointegration, treatment alternatives, treatment planning and patient selection, basic surgical techniques and protocols.
Hands-on training: surgical techniques and medico-legal aspects to implant dentistry.

Module 2   |   Treatment Planning and Surgical Treatment
Group 1: 19–22 April 2018 (4 days)   |   Group 2: 31 Jan–03 Feb 2019 (4 days)

Programme outline: implant design, radiographic techniques, implant surgery, implant specific treatment planning. Basic practice management.
Hands-on: live surgical patient treatment hands-on training.

Module 3 | Restorative Aspects of Implantology
Group 1: 26–29 July 2018 (4 days)   |   Group 2: 25–28 April 2019 (4 days)

Programme outline: restorative techniques, prosthetic hands-on training, patient treatment, follow-up and oral hygiene, complications to avoid and treat. In-depth practice management.
Hands-on: live surgical patient treatment hands-on training.
