Abstract
Publishing a scientific article, whether basic or clinical research, represents a real challenge today. The authors must be able to prepare their work adequately in order to increase their probability of success. Furthermore, it is important to select an appropriate journal which can bring your research to general attention. This is not easy today in the jungle of different dental publishers and journals. Authors must understand basic concepts such as Impact Factor, Citescore, Quartiles, be able to choose between subscription and open access publication, but also need to consider general visibility and the social media impact of journals. In this lecture, Dr. Francesco Mangano will clarify to participants which publishers are reliable and trusted, which journals are scientifically sound and valid, what the publication opportunities are, and tips to help you be successful with your submission.
