DAY 1

Title: The Art & Science of Aesthetic Dentistry Part 1 & Anterior Diagnostic Waxing

In today’s health and image-conscious society, cosmetic or aesthetic dentistry is becoming much more of a ‘must have’. This 3-part course on aesthetic dentistry will allow you to explore the principles of smile design, such as center-line, symmetry, smile line, incisal plane, gingival aesthetics, proportion and axial alignment.

The morning session will consist of a smile design lecture which will include:

  • Natural v media smile 
  • Centre line 
  • Smile line 
  • Anterior occlusal plane 
  • Golden proportion and percentage 
  • Tooth shape & form 
  • Phonetics 

The afternoon session will include a hands-on Diagnostic waxing practical and will be completed on the anterior teeth.

Course Outline

The morning session will consist of a smile design lecture which will cover:

  • Contact areas & positions 
  • Lip shape & central incisor dominance 
  • Buccal corridor
  • Ortho V tooth preparation
  • Full mouth reconstruction 

The afternoon session will consist of a hands-on diagnostic waxing practical and will be completed on the posterior teeth.

Title: TMD, It's Diagnosis and Treatment  
Faculty: Prof. Paul Tipton, Dr. Adam Toft & Dr. Ashish Rayarel

This course is ideal for dental practitioners who want to expand their clinical skills and gain experience to improve their knowledge-base and techniques.

The morning session will consist of a TMD seminar and the afternoon session will cover an occlusal splints hands-on practical.

DAY 4

Title: Adhesive Bridge Preparation Techniques
Faculty: Prof. Paul Tipton, Dr. Adam Toft & Dr. Ashish Rayarel
Time: 09:00 - 18:00

The course will take you through the theoretical, scientific and engineering principles behind restorative dentistry.  The course is ideal if you are:

  • Hoping to acquire new skills and build confidence to take on more complex cases
  • An NHS practitioner and want to increase your private income or move fully into private practice
  • A Principal looking for a course to update your skills using the latest techniques and materials and, in these modern times, help avoid litigation
