Over 2,000 delegates attended the 7th Dental Facial Cosmetic Int’l Conference
DUBAI, UAE: On 13 and 14 November, CAPPmea and Emirates Dental Society with the exclusive partnership of Saudi Dental Society and Lebanese Dental Association hosted 7th Dental Facial Cosmetic Int’l Conference (DFCIC) in Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. The event welcomed all newcomers, providers and experts from 34 countries that gathered during the 5 conference days at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
During five days of Continuing Dental Education, the 7th Dental-Facial Cosmetic Int'l Conference included: Inman Aligner Symposium, Dental Hygienist Day (DHD), and 4th American Academy of Implant Dentistry Global Conference (AAID) as well as the Excellence Awards 2015 in Aesthetic Dentistry. Next to that, the 25th Annual Meeting of International College of Dentistry and the annual Election of Emirates Dental Society board were held in the Convention Centre of JBH. The organizers have once again planned an unparalleled International Conference featuring some of the most recognized experts in Aesthetic Dentistry.
Highlights of 7th DFCIC included Dr. Shankar Iyer’s (Vice-President AAID, USA) modern kick-start of Day 1 with ‘Facetime – Make The Perfect Dental Connection’ followed by a full mouth reconstruction case using CAD/CAM and Minimal Invasive Dentistry by Dr. Julian Gutierrez from Costa Rica. Delegates were advised to further look out for Prof. Dr. Markus Balkenhol, Germany lecturing on Laser Milling – Entering a New Dimension of Aesthetic Dentistry, Dr. Gaetano Paolone, Italy (Direct Restoration Workflow in Anteriors and Posteriors) and Dr. Mario Besek of Switzerland who demonstrated The Next Generation of a Direct Veneering System. During the Day 2 Prof. Paul Tipton known for the famous Tipton Training courses for dental professionals in the UK spoke on The Role of Vertical Dimension of Facial Aesthetics. Also AAID speakers Dr. James Lozada, USA, Dr. Cheryl Pearson, USA, Dr. Stuart-Orton Jones, UK and Dr. Roderick Stewart, Canada covered topics such as CEREC and Implants, Evidence Based Implant Dentistry, Full Arch Implant Supported Strategy and Treatment of Inadequate Ridge Height using Tatum Ridge Repositioning.
The delegates, further had the opportunity to collect additional accreditation points two days before- and one day after- the main Scientific Session. The organizers provided the chance to attend in various 19 hands-on courses that were spread between 11 and 15 of November 2015. The attendees had a chance to learn and move their knowledge to the next level by learning from the industry international experts with hands on being organized for the various dental specialties.
Another activity that was available for the delegates was an interaction with the dental and medical suppliers. During the conference the attendees had a chance to discover all latest product innovations in the field of aesthetic dentistry. This also gave the opportunity to the companies to introduce and present the new products to the delegates at the exhibition which sees constant growth year by year as global manufacturers continue to join the focussed event.
The 7th DFCIC 2015 in Dubai closed with a total of 2063 participants, reflecting an increase of 25% with comparison to 2014. The event built on the success of last year's conference and added several significant new features, as well as expanding the number of participants.
