Synopsis

This program is very unique: it is the fruit of many years of research and clinical experience. It is addressed both general practitioner and the specialist, covering all aspects of Endodontic treatments from the basic biology and microbiology to the latest technologies in the field of root canal shaping, chemical preparation and obturation.

The course will be divided in several parts covering lectures, demonstrations and hands-on courses. The guidelines are set according to the standards of the Endodontic department of the UNC.

  • Rotary Nickel Titanium are introduced as main shaping instruments, an overview of different files systems with the adequate sequence to address the canal and especially the apical part. Irrigation or chemical preparation will be discussed with different irrigants and the proper sequence to use according to the clinical situation.

  • Obturation with the Resilon® material as a replacement of gutta percha and sealers, a comparison according to the latest research between those two materials will be exposed.

  • A step by step to use the new material with different obturation techniques will be conducted.

Each attendant will receive a certificate from the UNC. A meeting will be scheduled every 6 month to make updated of all novelties in the field of root canal treatment.
