The last weekend of October marked the calendar of dental professionals
with celebration of the winners in two remarkable competitions – Aesthetic Dentistry
MENA Awards 2011 and I love my Dentist.
Aesthetic Dentistry MENA Awards 2011 is one unique completion in which dentists from 12 countries compete with their professional treatment achievements. 96 clinical cases have been submitted and judge by independent Jury panel form 6 countries, independent and anonymously. 51 shortedlisted winners was announce and 23 finalists in 7 categories.

Dubai, UAE: Dr. Ajay Juneja of the UAE won two categories at the recent Aesthetic Dentistry MENA Awards 2011 as best case in cosmetic aesthetic and multidisciplinary, while Dr. Thamer Theeb of Jordan won the "I Love My Dentist" which preceded the 3rd Dental - Facial Cosmetic International Conference.
The Aesthetic Dentistry MENA Awards 2011 is a unique competition in which dentists from 14 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, including South Asia, compete with their professional treatment achievements.
There were 96 clinical cases submitted which were judged by an independent jury whose members come from six countries. Fifty-five dentists were shortlisted for the seven categories. The other five winners were:
- Dr. Deyse Carvalho of UAE for Prosthetic Restoration;
- Dr. Anas Aloum of UAE for Implantology and Red-Aesthetic;
- Dr. Ali Habib Hassan of Saudi Arabia for Orthodontic;
- Dr. Anthony Maccari of Lebanon for Congenital and Maxillo-Facial Deformities;
- H.R. Sukhia of Pakistan for Charity Treated
"These awards are the highlights of the work of the dental profession in the Middle East and other countries," explained CAPP managing director Dr. Dobrina Mollova, organizer of the 3rd Dental-Facial Cosmetic International Conference.
Dr Aisha Sultan, head of the Dental Department of the Ministry of Health and president of Emirates Dental Society, commented: "The MENA award is the first award in the region and the world that aims to appreciate and recognize the skills of dental practitioners. Today and for the third year in a row, this award has become a very well known event amongst dentists in Asia, Africa and the Middle East."
