142 cases from 14 countries were submitted for the competition in 7 professional categories. Evaluated anonymously and independently by a Jury Panel consisting of 10 Academicians from different countries, the cases were narrowed down to 63 shortlisted winners, 21 out of whom became finalists. Safinah Ballroom in Jumeirah Beach Hotel was filled with excitement at the night of the ceremony, when all winners were announced at a glittery black-tie Gala dinner attended by 280 guests.

The number of participants has increased with nearly 50% comparing to last year and the level of the competition has reached new heights. “Last year’s Awards were such a prestigious event and it honored the hard work of the dentists in the MENA region. I am happy to see that this year’s Awards have become even more significant and Doctors from all over the Middle East have started to hand in their cases” said Dr. Aisha Sultan, Head of Dental Services in Dubai and Northern Emirates Ministry of Health.
