The 2nd Dental - Facial Cosmetic International Conference on November 5th-6th 2010 was a great success, accomplish record attendance and further establishing a status as the dental industry’s leading international conference. It took place at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai from November 05th to November 06th, 2010. Organized by CAPP and EMA Dental Society, the conference was supported by the Ministry of Health and Saudi Dental Association.Dubai gathered for the second time the world experts, an international conference, open to all specialists working in the field of aesthetic dentistry. As usual the best experts, speakers and specialists in the different fields of dental and facial cosmetic, the worldwide renowned specialists shared their experience.

More than 600 participants from 25 countries – dental professionals, industry players, business and government got together at the 2nd Dental – Facial Cosmetic International Conference. Participants soaked up the latest opinions, trends, and insights from industry thought leaders, shared experiences with colleagues, made new contacts and strengthened existing relationships, and honed their ideas and knowledge.

Dentists from different specialties General Dentistry, Conservative Dentistry, Dental Technicians, Prosthodontists, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Cosmetic Surgeons, Orthodontists, Periodontists, Dental Assistants all in love with Esthetic Dentistry enjoyed the high level of the scientific program and met the top industrial players in this field during the two days of the conference.
The international event brought together the best experts, speakers and specialists in the different fields of dental and facial cosmetic from Middle East, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Norway and Austria. Participants were extremely happy with an excellent program and highly reputable speakers. This was proven from participants' feedback that the sessions they attended were greatly appreciated. The main conference schedule included four plenary sessions at the two days and four workshops before, during and after the conference days. The scientific program was accredited by CME/CPD Section at Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and Ministry of Health. Eighteen different lectures with a variety of topics being discussed. The morning of day one started with a lively session presented by Dr. Julian Caplan from UK who presented “Aesthetic and Functional Control of Posterior CAD/CAM Restorations”, followed by Prof. Jean-Francois Roulet, Switzerland who discussed the interesting topic of “Anterior Esthetic Restorations”. Dr. Andreas Kurbad, Germany followed with “Restoring the Perfect Smile with Minimum Invasive Methods”. Afternoon sessions presented another variety of topics being presented by Prof. Jean-Francois Roulet with his second topic – “Adhesion – the Driving Force In Dentistry Towards Perfect Restorations”. Dr. Joseph Sabbagh, Lebanon presented “Achieving Ideal Esthetics and Maximum Function with Composite”, then Dr. Kathrine Trelles, Norway discussed “Improving Adhesivity of Composite Restorations with Er; Cr: Ysgg Laser”. Dr. Marc Baltensperger and Dr. Richard R. Lebeda from Switzerland presented “Aesthetic Profiloplasty – from Analysis to Surgery”. At the end of the day Mohamed A Abdallah, Egypt talked about “Secretes of Success with Esthetic Dental Composite” followed by Dr. Klaus Sinko, Austria with his topic “Evaluation of Aesthetics and Attribution of Personality Traits before and after Orthognathic Surgery”. |

The morning of day two started with a very interesting session presented by Dr. Olaf Daum, Germany who presented “Boneaugmentation Using Particulate Bone Graft Material”, followed by Dr. Julian Caplan with his second topic of “Restoration of the Maxillary Central Incisors ”. Dr. Luca Dalloca from Italy followed with “The Fusion of Beauty and Art” then Dr. Hani Dalati, UK talked about “Current Cosmetic and Therapeutic Uses of Botox and Dermal Fillers in our Daily Dental Practice”. Afternoon sessions presented another variety of topics starting with Dr. Nadim Aboujaoude, Lebanon with the topic – “The Smile Management in the Maxillo Facial Deformities”. Prof. Philippe Tardieu, France presented “Introduction to Golden Proportion in Aesthetic Reconstructions”, then Dr. Roy Sabri, Lebanon discussed “Facial Analysis”. Dr. Ramesh Sabhlok, UAE presented “Predictable Maxillary Molar Distalization in the Correction of Class II Malocclusion”. At the end of the day Dr. Raed Al Jallad, Jordan / KSA talked about “Genioplasty in Improving Facial Appearance”. |
